Crimson Eyes…Another Update

Hi all! Bet you thought you wouldn’t see another update about Crimson Eyes so soon, huh? LOL Not that I’d blame you one teeny tiny little bit. This book and I – not a great history. 😉

Anywho, I actually do have another update for you. I finished what you’d either call an extremely rough draft, or a very detailed outline. That’s right – this book IS going to happen! Now I’m working on adding all the nitty-gritty stuff (very technical, huh?) to finish up the first draft. This is the part that takes awhile, so I’m anticipating a couple of months, at least. The good news is that writer’s block can’t happen because I’ve figured out the entire story line and where I want to go with it. The bad news is the “couple of months” part because… Yeah, well, that speaks for itself.

Wish me luck!

Crimson Eyes Update

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to give a quick update on Crimson Eyes. I’m happy to say my muse is talking my ear off again! Yay! I’ve been working at it for a while now, but didn’t want to say anything until I was sure I wouldn’t hit another wall. Thankfully, this story is coming at me fast and furious, so I don’t see it giving me any peace until it’s all on paper. Works for me! It’s still going to take quite a while, but I have every confidence I’ll get ‘er there.

Thanks for all your patience!

Updates in My World

Hey there!

Hope everyone is have a great start to 2017! I, personally, am hoping it’s not as crazy-busy as 2016. So far that seems to hold true. 😉

As you all know, I’ve been trying to finish Crimson Eyes, sequel to Amber Eyes, over the past several months. Once again, my muse on this one has eluded me (slippery little bugger!). The progress on Crimson Eyes has been worked through in fits and starts over the years, but time and again I’ve gotten writer’s block. Rather than force it and have it come out less than what it can be, I’m setting it aside (once again) until it gets its voice back. I apologize to those who’ve been waiting for its release. If I could make it happen, I absolutely would.

In the meantime, I’m going to be temporarily pulling Amber Eyes from the shelves until I can finish Crimson Eyes, and book 3, Onyx Eyes. It doesn’t feel right to leave Amber Eyes on the shelf when I can’t fully commit to when I’ll complete the rest of the trilogy.

I am also pulling Impending Reprisals and Clandestine. I know these titles need some work, so when I gain some distance, I’ll be circling back around to them. (Hopefully.)

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been all about writing from the gut, meaning, write on whatever’s racing through my head. There are a couple of projects speaking to me lately: Harbinger and my Heaven Help Me series. I haven’t worked on either one in a while, so it was refreshing to hear their voices again…even if Harbinger decided to take a wild detour away from what I thought was the plot. Hmm. I’ll have to figure that one out. And there are a couple of new ideas floating around, spiking my curiosity. It’ll be fun to work on something with a completely blank slate and see where it takes me.

Anywho, that’s what’s up with me. I’ll post again when I have more updates to share. 🙂

Take care!

Twisted – Now Available!

There are no coincidences in life, only Chance and Fate.

Fate tells the tale of a rocky romance between a rock star and a novelist. Rocky, because he wishes it to be.

Tavion Zaire, lead singer of the rock/metal band Persevere, is content to focus on his career, and not the screaming groupies surrounding him. Having been burned in the past, he’s both been there and done that. He even has the tee shirt and jaded heart to prove it.

Devan Reese, an up-and-coming romance novelist, writes of love, but no longer believes in it. Mousey and cautious, she prefers to hide behind her monitor, pounding out the words, rather than taking a chance at living life. She still bears the scars of the last time she’d braved it.

Fate, a troublemaking entity who likes to play matchmaker, decides these two are destined to be together. By drawing on Devan’s writer’s block, he gives her a new muse—Persevere—and with the help of his friend, Chance, he shoves them into the same space to watch the sparks fly.

Devan is fascinated with Tavion and his voice. She calls on her inner-protag for courage, imagining herself as the heroine. Through her character, she finds strength. Through her character, she finds her nerve. And through her character, she braves the first step in closing the distance between herself and the source of her inspiration, leaving Tavion blindsided with curiosity.

But Fate can’t leave it at that—it isn’t challenging enough. Once he maneuvers the two together, he tests their compatibility by tossing in a curveball whenever possible. And it was one such curveball from Tavion’s past that finally stirs up the heartache and fears from hers. Add in the untimely death of Tavion’s friend, Rhys Alexander, a victim of Fate’s arrogance and pride, and their budding romance might never recover.

Author’s Note: This is book two of the Twists of Fate series and runs concurrently with Connected, book one. Although your enjoyment will be heightened by reading Connected first, it is not wholly necessary. It will, however, spoil the plot of Connected if you have not yet read it.

Twisted’s Blurb

Ha! Blurb. Such a funny word. I wish it represented a fun experience too, but no – book blurbs are the bane of my existence. The completion and celebration of every book I’ve written has been tainted by the resulting, “Oh, crap! Now I have to write the blurb.” LOL But…now the celebration can begin, because not only is Twisted done (with the exception of some minor edits), but the blurb is too! Yay! Mind you, it’s a long blurb, but with everything that I have going on in this book, I feel it’s needed to truly capture what the book is about. So, without further ado, here is Twisted‘s blurb. 🙂

I’m Getting There

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the delay on the website. I have a good reason, though – I’ve been busy writing. 🙂

My current WIP is Twisted (Twists of Fate, 2) and it’s coming along beautifully. For anyone who knows me, you know this has been a great undertaking and long in the making. I can safely say this MS will never give me writer’s block again! Yesss!

In keeping with the theme and in anticipation of a relatively quick wrap-up, I rebuilt my Twists of Fate series page. It gives you a little insight on the series as a whole, as well as the individual books.

Enjoy!
